Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from an ethnically diverse background. Jacqueline's parents are Malaysian as well as Sri Lankan. The father of Jacqueline is Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka. There are two brothers as well as an older sister. In the 80s, her parents emigrated to Bahrain in protest against the civil war in Sri Lanka. In the end, she was both born and raised there. Following her win of the Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she took on the world of television and hosted a program on Sri Lanka's business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone was the daughter of the badminton star Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager, she played badminton in the national championships, but she ended her profession in sports to become a fashion model. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. She is Mangalorean from her birthplace. Her ancestors come from the village Padukone within the Kundapura Taluk, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state in India. Prakash Padukone has retired as an internationally renowned badminton athlete Her mother, on the other hand, also works as a travel advisor.
